We would see Gloria at all of Jason's tennis matches when he played for Kenton Ridge High School. She was such a strong supporter of not only Jason playing tennis and basketball (at Springfield Christian) but all of his team mates as well. Jason, you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. We love you very much.

Good morning, This message is for Jessica. I know this is voice out of the past, but I saw the obituary Saturday and wanted to share my deepest sympathy to a great past employee. It is very stange when last week your name came to mind out of the blue during some quiet prayer time. When I saw the notice about your mom, I knew why. From what I remember, she was always on your side with support and I knew you and Sara gave her many challenges. Parenting is not easy, as you both now know having children of your own. Other than this setback, I hope life is treating you well and you are blessed with the good fortune you deserve. There were only a small number of past employees I had a true appreciation and concern for, you were certainly one of those individuals. God has a plan for everyone and this too is part of that plan. Take care.

Gloria would talk to me about her family who she loved so much.Family was what Gloria loved most.Gloria would smile for weeks when she would go on a outing with her family.I remember she had a bell on her cane and we would hear her coming.Always came in to work if she was called to do so.Gloria was one of a kind and she did love people. It was real sad when Gloria had to leave our store. But Gloria made the best of everything she could.Sleep with the angels Gloria. And to your family many blessing to you.And you have a angel with a smile watching over you! I was Gloria's youth pastor, and Connie was her Jr. High Sunday School teacher, many years ago. We are saddened to hear of her passing, but rejoice that she is with her Lord. As mentioned by someone else, Gloria had a special sense of humor. She was always upbeat and loads of fun. I posted some pictures on the "Treasures" blog I created of the Calvary Baptist youth group (circa 1969-70) during the last few years. There is a classic pose from Gloria that made us all smile.

I was so surprised to hear about Gloria. I met her in the 80's when she bought basket supplies at Gundula's in Springfield. I remember when she found out she was expecting Jason, and we were friends through the birth of the grandchildren and John's death. We saw the most of each other on the cruise with Betty in 1993. What a time we had. She was truly one of a kind, I am richer for having known her. My thought and prayers go out to your family.
