We had kept in touch intermittently over the years and I have many fond memories of being around Ed and your family, especially going racing. We tried to make an effort to stop by and visit your family whenever we were in Gridley for a holiday or other occasion. Ed, I just learned of Carol's passing a few minutes ago. Ed, I am so very, very sorry for your family's loss. I wish I could say that I knew Carol well; maybe share some amusing stories about her. But in truth, I didn't know your sister well. I can only recall one memory of her, standing in the living room with her hands on her hips, furious with you for some transgression, and you, sitting on the couch laughing hysterically at her, only making matters worse. But then, wasn't that the point? Ed, it seems your family has suffered more than most. If I knew which words would ease your pain, I would offer them to you. But I suspect those words do not exist. Dear Flesher family - I am so very sorry to hear of Carol's passing and the loss that you are all dealing with. Your family has had to deal with a great deal of pain & loss in your lives and it seems more than one family should have to take.
